Exploration Week 4

 I am continuing to explore plated food in preparation for my first restaurant photo session next week. Lighting and composition are falling into place slowly but surely and things are coming together nicely.

In preparation for my next project, plated food, I have begun to experiment with various lighting, framing, and depth of field with what ever is crossing my dinner plate. Soon I will begin to work with local restaurants photographing their food to begin building my portfolio.

A Macro Passion for Food

A few months ago I began to explore the different textures and characteristics in fruits and vegetables. Through my exploration I realized that no matter how interesting and beautiful the outside was the inside was far more interesting. Cutting into many of the items allowed the juices to come to the surface and glisten in the sunlight creating twinkles throughout the photograph. As I continued on with my study I found inspiration in finding strange and unusual fruits and the presents they offered inside.
